Low-growing, forming a dense mat 4-6 es high. Medium, bright green color. During late fall and winter, the exposed leaves are purple-tinged. Very hardy. Found in 1931 in the Pedkisco Creek area of Alberta, Canada, near the Morden Research Station and introduced by them in 1967.”
