Purslane (Portulaca oleracea) is a low-growing annual plant that forms a mat with thick, succulent stems and fleshy, oval leaves. It produces small, five-petaled yellow flowers that open only in sunlight, and it thrives in warm, sunny conditions. Similar to Moss Roses, they are in the same genus.
