An early-flowering form with wide, olive-green blades, tight upright habit, and full golden plumes. Maturing to 5 feet tall, this large grass is best used in mass as a background planting or in prairie restorations. Forms compact colonies of rhizomes, and is better at out competing weeds than bluestems. Selected at Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
